When you are in the Internet Marketing Industry, you would know that it is all in the list. Maybe you have heard this before. This is definately true and nobody in this industry can expect to make a good living if you don’t try and build a list and use email marketing. It is a long term way of getting loads of sales.
Many people think that email marketing is expensive and that is difficult to get started with. THis is not always the case. The only things you need are: A good autoresponder like Aweber or getresponse and a website to make a squeeze page. You don’t even need a lot of web design knowledge. YOu can also get products to promote very easily. Clickbank is an easy one to start out with. Basically anyone can do it.
Why should you start with email marketing?
- Inexpensive (less than $20 to start out with)
- You can send people to your offers at will.
- If you build it properly, people are all targeted.
- If you build trust, they people will buy anything you offer them.
- Good way to stay in touch with leads.
I have recently decided to start building a list. I got a valuable free offer to give away (17 free courses I give away – in my sig) and then got Aweber and made some squeeze pages.
After that I started to promote my squeeze pages and so far I got about a 10% opt in rate from the traffic I sent to my primary squeeze page. I only use free traffic at this stage, so that means I get about 2-6 sign ups per day. I have about 50 confirmed signups now. I lost about 5 subscribers during this time so far.
My follow up emails look like this:
They are all 3 days apart.
The first 3 are emails that gives you basic step by step information on how to make a money making website, how to get free traffic, how to start with affiliate marketing. Then I start promoting free offers, where you get free ebooks or videos or products with possible upsells that I could make commissions from.
Then after about 8 of these I started introducing cheap clickbank offers that cost about $30 – $60.
As the follow up emails go on, I start introducing bigger offers and later even membership sites or things with big commissions.
In between them I give away free ebooks and courses and other freebies that I find as an incentive.
